“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi
A number of years ago I battled Brain Cancer. During that battle I was drawn to the idea that we can become a higher vision of ourselves by stepping into our own power. I proved that idea to be true as 16 years later I battled it again.
In doing so, I sought to create a vision of the person I wanted to become and what life would look like at this level. As I moved closer to the vision, there were times I believed it was difficult to achieve. How could I ever live up to a vision created out of the stillness of my thoughts?
The notion of giving up continually crossed my mind. Especially when I faced a third brain surgery in 45 days, with each one bringing more complications and more loss of progress. Yet each step one takes to advance in the direction of living their dream, the universe multiplies a counter move in the same direction.
As you make much needed changes, you may never desire to return to the life once lived. As you confidently move forward, you embark on a journey of self-discovery and inner awakening. A joy which knows no boundaries and no limitations will begin to stir within, awakening you to the splendor of your authentic self.
If you are contemplating this journey of self-discovery wondering where it will lead you, simply turn inward and connect with your inner wisdom. It is natural to question how life will unfold through you as you set about your journey. If there is feeling of joy and harmony, trust that you are being guided and supported by a benevolent universe.
I wish to remind you of your greatness and genius via the following quote by Rumi:
“You were born with potential. You were born with goodness and trust. You were born with ideals and dreams. You were born with greatness. You were born with wings. You are not meant for crawling, so don’t. You have wings. Learn to use them and fly.”
Knowing this, I invite you to feel a growing sense of empowerment and motivation to make live the life you have always imagined.
