Some people ask me, “Dave, what do you mean by ‘have faith’?”
There are various kinds of faith, and the meaning of faith is something that is different from one person to the other. To some, having faith is to have a religion, or a belief in a higher being of greater power, whether it is a God, the universe, or cosmic energy. The expression “just have faith, it will work out” is used by people to encourage and comfort someone facing serious problems or stressful situations. So, whether it be your faith in God, your faith in the universe, or your faith in humanity, it is good to have faith.
In my context, having faith means that I recognize I have no control over what has happened, coming to terms in my current situation, believing that I will be able to pull through it in the end, and letting go of my worries. To have faith also means to recognize that the world does not revolve around you, that there are so many factors that into a human life which you will never have control over, and letting it be ok.
As life is not always smooth sailing, there will always be difficult life decisions to make, or situations that feel like life or death.
The pros of having faith is it is like having a pillar to lean on in tough times of your life.
Take the leap of faith and start now.
“The best thing you can do is the right thing,
the next best thing is the wrong thing,
and the worst thing you can do is nothing.”
~ Teddy Roosevelt ~
Have faith that there is always a solution to any problem. Trust in yourself that things will turn out right eventually, especially since you have started to embark on having the right mindset, surrounding yourself with positive people and investing in yourself.
Will someone who has faith be happy always and never worries? No! Will faith take over every aspect of your life to the point that you no longer have to work hard or make things happen for yourself? Absolutely not! But, having faith will give you that extra boost to make it through the difficult times when you begin to question it all. It is like a friend walking with you as you carve out the path of success in your life.
So don’t get upset when you face problem. Every problem in life has a gift inside. It might have a more beautiful ending than your expectations.
Walk by faith not by sight. Have faith in yourself and that you are capable to make things happen the way you want them to be, and also have faith in the ability of a higher power, one which controls your destiny that makes you a perfect individual.
Remember that your best ally to overcoming adversity is you yourself. You are stronger and more resilient than you think you are.
Let me end this sharing the following Thought:
“Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life.
If we were to go through our life without any obstacles, we would be crippled.
We would not be as strong as what we could have been.
Give every opportunity a chance, leave no room for regrets.”
from my heart to yours,
